Sliding Fees
Wouldn’t it be nice to have legal counsel and fees based on your business’ ability to pay?
As the economy continues to slowly improve, many small to medium sized businesses continue to have difficulty overcoming one of the most challenging economic climates since the Great Depression. Business owners are faced with new and increasing challenges including collection of accounts receivable, retention of confidential information, negotiating contracts, employee issues arising at hiring and termination, disputes with partners, and an overall increased need for basic business legal advice.
However, many small businesses find themselves dealing with these challenges alone and without legal counsel. And it’s no wonder when the average rate per hour for legal counsel ranges anywhere from $200 to $450 per hour. As a small firm, DKG & Associates understands the needs of other small businesses and how the cost of quality legal services can seem out of reach.
That’s why DKG & Associates is excited to offer small and medium sized businesses sliding scale and flat fees. It’s no gimmick – DKG & Associates sliding scale fees start as low as $55 per hour and increase to no more than $160 per hour if your business qualifies.
How do you qualify? It’s simple – if your business generates $5MM or less in gross revenue in a fiscal year and you can demonstrate a need for reduced fees, you may qualify. Simply download the Application for Sliding Scale Fees and return it to DKG & Associates. Once an initial review has taken place and a determination is made that you meet the minimum qualifications, someone will contact you to set up a face-to-face meeting to discuss your particular legal issue, your business, and what kind of sliding scale fee or flat fee structure may be workable for you.
Not all businesses or legal issues presented will qualify, but you won’t know until you apply. Even if your gross revenue exceeds the qualifying cut-off, DKG & Associates may still be able to offer you a cost effective solution to whatever legal problem you are facing.
